Organized by China Flower Association in closed cooperation with Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co Ltd and China Great Wall Exhibition, Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2017 has been held successfully from May 10th to 12th in Shanghai New International Exhibition Center. With prestigious reputation and constant innovation, this fair is now well known as Asia‟s largest trade show for horticultural, floricultural and gardening industries.

Show Scale:Expanded, Increased and Promoted

Compared with 2015, Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2017 has increased improved its arrangement in overall layout with a brand new image. Show scale expanded into nearly forty thousand sqms in three halls (N1-N3) and exhibits were sorted by relevant categories. As a top flower trade show in Asia, it welcomed close to 800 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries such as Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, USA, Canada, Israel, Lithuania, Estonia, Ecuador, Colombia, South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, UAE, Japan, Thailand, India, Norway, mainland China, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan Province.

Below is domestic exhibitors‟ distribution ratio:

Exhibitors have increased by 30.7% from 2015. In the geographical distribution of domestic exhibitors, east China is at the first place, and the proportion of exhibitors in north China and south China is close to the second. Due to the expansion of scale and the influence of international reputation, more than 140 international enterprises have participated in this fair.

The distribution of international exhibitors is as follows:

During the fair, Netherlands, France, Germany, Ecuador, Colombia, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Taiwan Province participated in the form of pavilions, presenting their latest trend, concept and products. Among international exhibitors, most of them come from Netherlands (30 companies). There were 22 companies from Ecuador and 17 enterprises from Germany. New members from Thailand, UAE, Austria, South Africa, Estonia, Latvia and other countries brought not only distinctive products, but also further more business information.

Show exhibits ranged from cut flowers, pot plants, landscape plants, fertilizer, peat moss, ornamental, ground cover, bulbs, seedlings, young plants, green projects, green roofing, horticultural materials, biological technology, greenhouses, irrigation, garden machinery, garden furniture, city landscape, etc.

Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2017 attracted not only those regular customers, but also new pavilions such as Thailand Pavilion and Colombia Pavilion. It also welcomed word‟s well known brands to be one part of the show: COMPO China Co. Ltd., INVITROSOFT SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS OHG, Snap-On China, Kohler Engines, China, Snapdragon Deroma, etc.

Show Features:Constant Flower Arrangement Show and Industrial Forums

Cooperated with Retail Trade Committee of CFA and CNfloral, Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai 2017 had a constant flower arrangement show during three days. Powered by two LED screens and 16 worlds‟ top florists from 6 countries, this program offered an absolutely rare opportunity to enjoy various schools of flower arrangement such as Japanese Ohararyu and Ikebono, Western, Korean, Chinese art, etc. More than 2000 people including professionals were attracted to the stage and be part of this stunning program.

In order to stimulate the development of floral young plant industry as well as the application of new technology, conference topic focused on cultivation, marketing advertisement as well as the utilization of new garden plants.

e) Transformation Green House Technology Achievements and Opening Industries Forum 200+ audience
Organized by Green House Horticulture Magazine, Facility Agriculture Sub-Association of China and the organizer, this forum had gathered principals, specialists, professionals of agricultural technology and industrial companies from mainland China as a forum and salon to talk about the future trend of green house technology.

The conference was focus on the traditional culture of Chinese Bonsai and to discover current status of its marketing. It was hosted by Ni Minzhong, the well known micro bonsai artist in China.
